Christmas Canapé – Herbed cheese tartlet with smoked river trout
1 pack of savoury tart shells. (Approx 20 in pack- available from Woolworths and Harris farm)
150 grams of spreadable cream cheese
Fresh Dill – 1 tablespoon for the cream cheese mixture and extra sprigs for garnishing & 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Plus extra for drizzling.
150 grams of Smoked river trout removed from the bone. (can be substituted with smoked salmon, fresh prawns or tuna slices)
Salt & Pepper for seasoning
Method Combine cream cheese, lemon juice & dill in a small bowl.
Season with salt & pepper.
Divide mixture amongst tart shells and top with smoked trout pieces.
Drizzle with lemon juice an garnish with fresh dill.
